Strategic Focus Retreat
for CASA Programs
Turn Planning Into Powerful Action
If you’re ready to break out of the cycle of planning without progress, the Strategic Focus Retreat will push your CASA program to the next level.
This isn’t about checking boxes or creating a plan that sits on a shelf — it’s about designing a living, breathing strategy that fuels real, lasting impact.
What Is the Strategic Focus Retreat?
The Strategic Focus Retreat is a two-day, high-impact working session tailored exclusively for local CASA programs. Together, we’ll identify your most important priorities, sharpen your strategic vision, and build a clear roadmap for implementation.
This retreat combines data-driven strategy with facilitated collaboration to help CASA leaders move from discussion to direction — and from direction to results.
Each retreat is customized to meet your program where it is — whether you’re starting from scratch, refining your existing plan, or reenergizing a stalled strategy. Every step of the process is grounded in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to ensure that all voices, perspectives, and communities are represented in your plan.
What You’ll Gain
By the end of the Strategic Focus Retreat, your team will have a clear, actionable roadmap and shared agreement on mission, vision, and values. With defined roles, timelines, and accountability systems, plus a living strategic plan ready for immediate use, your team will leave with renewed focus, energy, and alignment to drive real impact for the children you serve.
Collaborative, Themed Retreats
We also offer collaborative retreats that bring together up to five local CASA programs to share ideas, insights, and solutions around a shared focus area.
The State CASA host organizes groups of programs and selects the theme for each retreat, and we tailor the experience accordingly. Themes are tailored to your group and could include strategic planning fundamentals, refreshing an existing plan, volunteer or board development, crisis planning, staff retention, preparing for a capital campaign, regional or size-based groupings, and advanced strategic planning.

Anyone who contributes to your CASA program’s strategic direction will benefit, including:
